Barcelona to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
